Tyler, The Creator is an American rapper, producer, and music video director. He’s the founder of the alternative hip hop collective, Odd Future. His discography includes Goblin (2011), Wolf (2013), Cherry Bomb (2015), and Flower Boy (2017). Tyler Gregory Okonma was born on March 6, 1991, in Ladera Heights, California. He was raised by a single mother. Tyler taught himself the piano at a young age. He attended several different schools in California. He also worked at Starbucks prior to music.

The hip hop collective, Odd Future (OFWGKTA), was formed in Los Angeles in 2007. The founding members include Tyler, Hodgy, Left Brain, Casey Veggies, The Super 3, and Jasper Dolphin. Their debut studio album, The OF Tape Vol. 2, was released in 2012. It charted at #5 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
