Real name, Melvin Noble, he was born on May 31, 1992, in Dallas, Texas. Though little information is available about his upbringing, Mo3 subtly explained the struggles he faced growing up with his mother. With little income on the table, his mother was unable to cover the bills. In a Dallas Observer article, he explains that sometimes they “didn’t have anywhere to sleep” and had to eat “noodles every day.” Unable to pay for the electricity, they slept outside on patios and had to charge their phones at local bodegas. On the musical spectrum, Mo3 grew up listening to his favorite rapper, Boosie Badazz.

CAREER
In 2014, Mo3 created a buzz with the debut of the mixtape, Shottaz. Locals began acknowledging his voice and he successfully established a community following. However, it was until the release of his next mixtape, Shottaz Reloaded, that he experienced true fame. Released in April 2016, the project was led by hit singles “Gangsta Love” and “Hold Ya Tongue.” Since uploaded, both tracks have garnered well over 11 million streams collectively.

Mo3 quickly became one of the most sought-after artists in Dallas. His popularity earned him cosign from Lil Ronny, Dorrough, and his favorite artist, Boosie. Mo3 would later open for Boosie at a Dallas concert and would eventually get introduced to the Bad Azz Music label. In October 2016, he followed up with the motivational mixtape, 4 Indictments. Featuring Boosie Badazz and Hurricane Chris, the project was spearheaded by “Hurt My Feelings.” Both mixtapes proved Billboard worthy, peaking at #23 and #26 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart respectively.

From 2017 to 2019, Mo3 has dropped 3 other mixtapes. “Gangsta Love, Pt.1” arrived in February 2017. The project featured Trap Boy Freddy, Young Og, Phat Boy Fresh, Co Gotti, and others. Standout tracks included “Gangsta Love” and “Kut Up.”

In 2018, he released the 3rd installment of Shottaz, Shottaz 3.0, and 911: Gangsta Grillz. Like their predecessors, they did not fail at racking up millions of streams. Shottaz 3.0 featured his biggest hit single to date, Errybody Not Your Friend. In 10 Months, the track accumulated over 10 million YouTube plays. Mo3 recently released the remix version featuring Boosie.

According to multiple news outlets, on the morning of November 11, 2020, Mo3 departed from a female companion’s house and was suspiciously tailed by an unknown individual(s).
