Milana Vayntrub is an Uzbek American actress, comedian, writer, and producer. She stars as “Lily Adams” in several AT&T commercials. In 2017, she was cast as “Doreen Green/Squirrel Girl” in the series, New Warriors. Her television credits include Silicon Valley, Other Space, and This Is Us. Vayntrub was born on March 8, 1987, in Tashkent, Uzbek SSR, USSR (now Uzbekistan). The family moved to West Hollywood, California, in order to avoid religious persecution. She was about 3 at the time. Vayntrub attended Beverly Hills High School and later completed her GED. She earned a BA degree in Communications from the University of California, San Diego.
CAREER
Vayntrub began acting in Mattel Barbie commercials at the age of 5. After college, she trained with the improvisational/sketch comedy group, Upright Citizens Brigade. Vayntrub and friend Stevie Nelson created the YouTube channel ‘Live Prude Girls’ in September 2011. The channel now has 100+ thousand subscribers and over 10 million views. Their popular “Let’s Talk About Something More Interesting” web series featured guests like Kassem G, Mystery Guitar Man, Burnie Burns, and Matt Damon.
Vayntrub made her small screen debut in a 1995 episode of the series, ER. Other early television appearances include Days of Our Lives, Lizzie McGuire, and The Division. She held a small role as “Tanya” in the comedy film, Life Happens (2011). She also had a bit role in the supernatural-comedy, Ghostbusters (2016), with Melissa McCarthy.
