Gotit was born Semaja Render on August 6, 1999, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was raised in South Atlanta by his mother. His older brother Lil Keed is a fellow rapper. Gotit dropped out of high school in the 9th grade. He was reportedly kicked out for fighting. Post high school, the aspiring rapper stayed briefly with Young Thug’s brother.

CAREER
Gotit began pursuing music alongside his brother Lil Keed. Their first track together was titled “Trap Bunkin.” In 2017, he was featured on the track “Regular” by PaperLovee. His debut mixtape, Super Squid, followed in September 2017. It was hosted by DJ Rico Riddik and Filthy Money Mixtapes. The tape racked up thousands of streams with songs like “Shot Fired”, “Too Deep” and “Exit” opposite Lotto Savage. Gotit’s breakout single “Hood Baby” arrived in early 2018. The supporting video has been viewed 90K+ times on YouTube. It was directed by BlackClxuds.

Hood Baby, Gotit’s debut studio album, was released in 2018 by Alamo Records. The 18-tracked project featured production from Yung Lan, 10Fifty, Deedotwill, and Pyrex. It was led by the single “Superstar” featuring Gunna. Other standout tracks include “Loco”, “Big Bertha”, “Drip Severe” and “Lets Go!” with Guap Tarantino. Gotit and Slimelife Shawty dropped their joint single “Drip Here” in October 2018. Another collaboration “Caught a Wave” featuring Soulja Boy was released in November 2018.

In October 2018, brothers Gotit and Keed appeared on “Heavy Metal” alongside Lil Uzi Vert. The track created quite the buzz, racking up hundreds of thousands of views within the first 2 months. Lil Uzi returned the favor, appearing on Gotit’s “Hercules” single. It too has thousands of plays across streaming platforms. Gotit kicked off 2019 with “I Told Em” featuring Zack Slime. It was produced by Turbo.

PERSONAL
Lil Gotit is about 5ft 8in tall and he’s of African-American descent. His style has been compared to Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert and Gunna. He’s cited Young Thug as his mentor. Gotit briefly used the stage name “Mazi Gotit.” He dropped the “Mazi” in favor of “Lil” because it’s shorter. He also uses the moniker “Hood Baby” (derived from him hanging out with older crowds in the hood). Lil Gotit’s net worth is estimated at $400 thousand USD. He rocks an iced-out signature “slime” chain.
