Kimberly Guilfoyle is an American television show host and former attorney. She co-hosted ‘The Five’ on Fox News Channel from 2011 to 2018. She’s also a former First Lady of San Francisco. Guilfoyle was born to parents Tony and Mercedes on March 9, 1969, in San Francisco, California. She has a younger brother named Anthony. Guilfoyle is a graduate of Mercy High School. She completed her BA degree at the University of California, Davis, and her JD degree at the University of San Francisco School of Law (1994). She also studied briefly at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

CAREER
Guilfoyle interned at the San Francisco district attorney’s office during college. Upon graduating, she worked as a prosecutor in San Francisco. She was terminated in 1996 shortly after District Attorney Terence Hallinan was elected. Guilfoyle worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Los Angeles, California from 1996 to 2000. She held a similar title in San Francisco from 2000 to 2004. During her tenure, she worked on a number of adult and juvenile cases ranging from narcotics to kidnapping to sexual assault. She was a co-prosecutor in the 2002 case, People v. Noel and Knoller.

Guilfoyle began her television career in New York as host of the Court TV series, Both Sides. She served as a legal analyst on Anderson Cooper 360. She also served as a legal analyst for ABC News and she was featured regularly on ABC’s Good Morning America. Guilfoyle began her tenure at Fox News Channel in early 2006. She hosted the current affairs program ‘The Lineup’ until it was canceled in 2007. She began co-hosting ‘The Five’ in 2011. The Five is a news/talk program that focuses on political issues, news stories, and pop culture. Guilfoyle has also contributed to other Fox programs including Outnumbered, The O’Reilly Factor, On the Record, and Fox and Friends. She was cast as a public defender in the film, Happily Even After (2004), starring Jason Behr and Marina Black.

Guilfoyle was a top contender for press secretary for President Donald Trump back in December 2016. The position ultimately went to Sean Spicer. News reports surfaced in May 2017 that Guilfoyle might be a potential replacement for Spicer. She dismissed said argument, citing that she’s currently under a multi-year contract with Fox. Guilfoyle ended her working relationship with Fox News in July 2018. She left in order to join the pro-Trump Super PAC “America First.”

Guilfoyle’s book, Making the Case: How to Be Your Own Best Advocate, was published in 2015. It details her journey as a prosecutor and serves to empower people to advocate for themselves.
