Kellyanne Conway is an American strategist, pollster, political commentator and CEO of The Polling Company. She served as Donald Trump‘s campaign manager during the 2016 presidential election. Conway was born Kellyanne Elizabeth Fitzpatrick on January 20, 1967 in Camden, New Jersey. She grew up in Waterford Township where she attended St. Joseph High School. Conway graduated from Trinity College, Washington in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She completed her J.D. at George Washington University Law School in 1992.

CAREER
Conway’s first job was at a blueberry farm in Hammonton, New Jersey. She worked 8 summers during which she won the New Jersey Blueberry Princess pageant and the World Champion Blueberry Packing competition. In 1992, Conway was hired as a law clerk for Richard A. Levie in Washington, DC. She also served 4 years as an adjunct professor at George Washington University.

Conway began her career as a pollster with the polling firm, Wirthlin Group. She had a brief stint with Luntz Research Companies before launching her own firm ‘The Polling Company’ in 1995. The Polling Company is a primary research and consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC. Their clients over the years included American Express, Martha Stewart, ABC News, Ladies Home Journal and The Heritage Foundation.

Conway was the senior advisor to Newt Gingrich during the 2012 presidential election campaign. She was also a strong supporter of senator Ted Cruz during his 2016 bid for presidency. Conway was hired by Donald Trump for an advisory position in July 2016. She was named campaign manager a month later. With Trump’s victory, Conway became the first woman to lead a successful presidential campaign in the United States. She was tapped in December 2016 as counselor to the president for the Trump administration.
