Daniel Craig is an English film, television, and theater actor. He starred as “James Bond” in four 007 films, Casino Royale (2006), Quantum Of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), and Spectre (2015). Craig was born on March 2, 1968, in Chester, England. His mother, Carol Olivia Blond, was an art teacher, and his father, Tim Craig, a steelworker turned pub owner. He has two siblings, Harry and Lea. Craig grew up in Liverpool with his mother and sister. He trained at the National Youth Theatre in London. He completed his studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1991.

He portrayed poet “Ted Hughes” in the biopic Sylvia (2003), and murderer “Perry Smith” in the drama Infamous (2006). He had prominent roles in Road to Perdition (2002) with Tom Hanks, and Munich (2005) with Eric Bana.

In 2005, Craig succeeded Pierce Brosnan as the new 007. His first portrayal of the “James Bond” character was in Casino Royale (2006).
