Bryson Djuan Tiller is an American hip hop and R&B recording artist. He’s known for the single “Don’t” and the albums Trapsoul (2015) and True to Self (2017). Tiller is signed to RCA Records. Over the years, he’s collaborated with Young Thug, Tory Lanez and H.E.R. to name a few. Tiller was born on January 2, 1993 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was raised by his grandmother following the death of his mom when he was four years old. He has four siblings including an older brother named Eric. Tiller is an alumnus of Iroquois High School in Louisville. He worked briefly at Papa John’s Pizza and UPS prior to music.

CAREER
Tiller began pursuing music seriously at the age of 15. He initially wanted to become a songwriter and he drew inspiration from artists like Omarion, The-Dream and R. Kelly. He bought his first mic and laptop with a $600 loan from a friend. Tiller recorded and posted his music on the distribution platform, SoundCloud. His debut single “Don’t” was recorded in 2014 and caught the attention of record producer Timbaland and rapper Drake.

Tiller was signed to RCA Records in August 2015. His debut studio album, T R A P S O U L, was released in October 2015. The album peaked at #8 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the singles “Don’t”, “Exchange”, and “Sorry Not Sorry.” It was also certified platinum by the RIAA. Tiller won the BET Award for Best New Artist in 2016. His second album, True to Self, was released in May 2017. It was led by the single “Something Tells Me.” The album sold 47,000 copies during opening week.

In June 2017, Tiller was recruited by DJ Khaled for his single “Wild Thoughts.” The PartyNextDoor-assisted track which also featured Rihanna peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold more than 6 million copies worldwide. Tiller was featured on H.E.R.’s “Could’ve Been” from the album I Used to Know Her: The Prelude (2018). 2018 also saw the released of “Canceled” and “Keep in Touch” featuring Tory Lanez. Tiller’s third album, Serenity, is scheduled for 2019.
